Congratulations to hydroGEOPHYSICS Dr. Dale Rucker the new editor of the Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics. Dale is the Chief Technical Officer for hydroGEOPHYSICS, Inc (HGI) and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Civil Engineering, and a Doctorate in Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of Arizona.
Dr. Dale Rucker – New Editor of The Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics
As HGI’s CTO, Dale is responsible for the technical direction of the company, including the development of new hardware, software tools, and interpretation for geophysical methods aimed at solving hydrological and engineering problems. Dale’s main areas of research are in rapid monitoring of dynamic subsurface processes, such as subsurface injections, focused recharge, and remediation. To help with this effort, he guided the development of a large multi-channel resistivity system (Geotection) with a real-time evaluation component to help optimize reagent delivery or for use in estimating hydraulic parameters. Way to go Dale!
The JEEG (the Journal of Environmental & Engineering Geophysics) is the peer-reviewed journal of the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS). JEEG welcomes manuscripts on new developments in near-surface geophysics applied to environmental, engineering, and mining issues, as well as novel near-surface geophysics case histories and descriptions of new hardware aimed at the near-surface geophysics community.
Publication in JEEG is free for grayscale figures. Nominal costs are associated with color figures, either in hardcopy print or digital online. JEEG is published four times a year and is delivered, in print, to EEGS members. JEEG is also available to members online.
