Previously Nigel spent five years as a research associate and lecturer in the Geophysics Department at Stanford University. Projects include a nationwide effort to improve the integration of near-surface geophysics in hydrological academic research as part of the NSF’s Hydrological Measurement Facility effort.
Nigel’s education includes a B.Sc. Degree in Geology and Geophysics from the Durham University, England; an M.Sc. Degree in Archaeology from Liverpool University, England, and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Rock Magnetism from the Manchester Metropolitan University, England.
He has over 25 years of experience in the near-surface geophysics industry and academia.
