David Valintine is a Senior Project Manager at hydroGEOPHYSICS, Inc. (HGI), where he leads operations for the Texas office. With a diverse background in geophysical methods for engineering and environmental applications, David primarily supports geotechnical site investigations. He is focused on expanding HGI’s presence in Texas, developing new sales opportunities, and exploring emerging geophysical markets across multiple industries.

In his role, David manages multiple projects, including the design and implementation of geophysical surveys, data processing, and reporting. Over the past 25 years, he has built extensive experience in both surface and borehole geophysical methods, with particular expertise in seismic techniques, wireline logging, and in-situ geotechnical testing.

David’s career has taken him around the globe, with projects across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, including a six-month assignment at a tailings facility in Jamaica. More recently, he has contributed to a range of geotechnical projects for oil and gas facilities along the Gulf Coast, as well as in Canada, Alaska, and Mexico.

He holds a BSc in Geophysics with Mathematics from the University of Liverpool and an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology from the University of Wales, Cardiff. His master’s research, conducted in the valleys of South Wales in the early 2000s, focused on using 3D resistivity tomography to image and assess landfill sites.

David is a licensed Professional Geoscientist (Geophysics) in Texas and has held committee and leadership roles within the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS).
